Emma Nelson is a fictional high school student on the Degrassi: The Next Generation television series. She is currently portrayed by Miriam McDonald.

Emma was born June 1989. Emma is the daughter of original Degrassi characters Christine "Spike" Nelson and Shane McKay, and is the only student at Degrassi in The Next Generation to have been depicted as a child in the earlier series. She is known as the school's "cause girl" because she has arranged many protests and boycotts for various causes.
